One of the community, culture and industry centre in this region. In the beginning of 19th century the world-famous Tonak factory has opened and started to produce all kinds of head-gears. The town centre is a historic reservation. The pride of this town is today’s Masarykovo square with reconstructed burgeois buildings. An unequalled feature is also “Stara posta”, a house with one store arkade loggia built in the end of 14th century. A late Gothic palace and renaissance buildings have been put to in the end of 15th century. There are churches as the parish church of Nanebevzeti Panny Marie from years 1729-32, the church of Nejsvetejsi Trojice from 16th century or the chapel of Bolestne Panny Marie, a famous pilgrimage place.
